ACECLOFENAC 100MG + PARACETAMOL 325MG + SERRATIOPEPTIDASE 10MG

ACTICROSS-SP combines aceclofenac 100 mg and paracetamol 325 mg with serratiopeptidase 10 mg, for painful inflammatory conditions in which swelling is prominent. It is used after trauma and surgery, in dental and ENT inflammation, and in sprains, strains and soft-tissue injury where reducing oedema matters as much as controlling pain.

Benefits

  • Aceclofenac reduces prostaglandin-mediated inflammation and pain at the site of injury.
  • Paracetamol adds central analgesia and antipyresis without increasing the NSAID dose.
  • Serratiopeptidase hydrolyses inflammatory exudate, helping disperse swelling and speeding resolution of bruising.
  • Reducing oedema relieves the pressure component of post-traumatic and post-surgical pain and restores movement sooner.
  • Particularly suited to dental extraction, ENT procedures and soft-tissue injury where localised swelling limits function.

Side effects

Not everyone gets these. Most are mild and settle as the course finishes.

Common
  • Nausea, indigestion or epigastric discomfort
  • Abdominal pain or diarrhoea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Dizziness or headache
Less common
  • Gastric erosion, ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Raised liver enzymes
  • Skin rash, itching or flushing
  • Cough or breathlessness attributed to the enzyme component
Stop and get medical help if any of these occur
  • Black, tarry stools or vomiting of blood
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes
  • Swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or difficulty breathing
  • Unusual bruising or bleeding
  • Widespread rash with blistering or peeling skin

Precautions

  • Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer disease or a history of gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • Contraindicated in severe hepatic or renal impairment, and in NSAID hypersensitivity including aspirin-sensitive asthma.
  • Avoid in patients with bleeding disorders or on anticoagulants — serratiopeptidase may add to bleeding risk. Stop before planned surgery on the surgeon's advice.
  • Swallow whole on an empty stomach; the enteric coating protects the enzyme from gastric acid and must not be crushed or chewed.
  • Check total daily paracetamol intake across all products before adding this one.
  • Avoid alcohol during the course.
  • Avoid in the third trimester of pregnancy; use earlier in pregnancy and while breastfeeding only on medical advice.
