INHELENT (CAMPHOR 25MG,CHLOROTHYMOL 5MG + EUCALYPTOL USP125MG
BREATH WELL SG CAPS is an inhalant capsule containing camphor 25 mg, chlorothymol 5 mg and eucalyptol 125 mg. The contents are added to hot water and the vapour inhaled, for the symptomatic relief of nasal blockage and catarrh associated with colds, sinusitis and upper respiratory infection. It is for inhalation, never to be swallowed.
01
Benefits
- The aromatic vapour gives a sensation of clearer breathing and eases the discomfort of a blocked nose.
- Steam inhalation itself helps loosen nasal and sinus secretions, making them easier to clear.
- Eucalyptol and camphor stimulate cold receptors in the nasal passages, which the patient perceives as improved airflow.
- Chlorothymol has a mild antiseptic action in the upper airway.
- A drug-free alternative or adjunct for patients who cannot take oral decongestants because of hypertension or cardiac disease.
02

03
Precautions
- For inhalation only. Never swallow the capsule. Camphor is toxic if ingested and can cause seizures, particularly in children.
- Keep strictly out of reach of children. Accidental ingestion is a medical emergency requiring immediate attention.
- Do not use in infants and young children, or apply camphor-containing preparations to a child's face or nostrils — this can cause laryngospasm.
- Avoid in asthma and in reactive airway disease, where the vapour can provoke bronchospasm.
- Steam inhalation carries a real risk of scalding. Never let a child inhale unsupervised, and keep the bowl on a stable surface.
- Do not apply the contents directly to the skin or into the nostrils.
- Symptomatic relief only — this does not treat infection. Reassess if symptoms persist beyond a week or fever develops.
- Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice.
