VITAMIN D3 100I.U + CALCIUM HYP 50MG + VITAMIN B6 2MG SYRUP
CALCIBEST HY SYRUP is an oral syrup of vitamin D3 100 IU, calcium hypophosphite 50 mg and vitamin B6 2 mg. It is used as a calcium and vitamin supplement in growing children, during convalescence, in pregnancy and lactation, and where dietary calcium intake is inadequate.

Side effects
Not everyone gets these. Most are mild and settle as the course finishes.
Common
- Constipation
- Nausea or mild stomach upset
- Bloating
- Altered taste
Less common
- Loose stools
- Abdominal cramping
- Loss of appetite
- Skin rash or itching
Stop and get medical help if any of these occur
- Severe constipation, or abdominal pain with vomiting
- Marked thirst, frequent urination or unusual drowsiness
- Loin pain or blood in the urine
- Swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or difficulty breathing
- Numbness or tingling of the hands and feet on prolonged high-dose use

Precautions
- Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria and a history of calcium-containing kidney stones.
- Do not combine with another calcium or vitamin D preparation without checking the total daily intake.
- Use with caution in renal impairment.
- Separate from tetracycline and fluoroquinolone antibiotics, thyroid hormone and iron by at least two to four hours.
- Prolonged high-dose pyridoxine can cause peripheral neuropathy; do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.
- Increase fluid and fibre intake to offset constipation.
- Shake well before each dose, use the measure supplied, and keep tightly closed.
