CPLEX FORTE TAB

B COMPLEX + VITAMIN + C + BIOTIN 260MG

CPLEX FORTE TAB is a tablet combining B-complex vitamins with vitamin C and biotin. It is used as a nutritional supplement where dietary intake is inadequate, in convalescence, during increased demand, and for hair, skin and nail health where biotin deficiency may contribute.

01

Benefits

  • The B group are cofactors in energy metabolism, and deficiency commonly presents as fatigue and poor appetite.
  • Vitamin C supports collagen formation, wound healing and iron absorption from the diet.
  • Biotin supports keratin structure and is widely used for brittle nails and hair thinning.
  • Both vitamin C and the B group are water-soluble and not stored, so regular intake is needed and deficiency develops readily on a poor diet.
  • Useful during convalescence and in restricted diets where several water-soluble vitamins are low together.

Side effects

Not everyone gets these. Most are mild and settle as the course finishes.

Less common

Stop and get medical help if any of these occur
  • Swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or difficulty breathing

  • Persistent vomiting or severe abdominal pain
03

Precautions

  • A dietary supplement, not a medicine, and not a substitute for a balanced diet or for diagnosing the cause of fatigue.
  • Biotin interferes with several laboratory immunoassays — including thyroid and cardiac troponin tests — and can produce seriously misleading results. Tell the doctor and the laboratory before any blood test, and stop several days beforehand.
  • Prolonged high-dose pyridoxine can cause peripheral neuropathy; do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.
  • High-dose vitamin C increases the risk of oxalate kidney stones in susceptible patients; use with caution in a history of stones and in renal impairment.
  • Yellow urine is expected and harmless.
  • Take after food to reduce nausea.
  • Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice.
