FOOTROSE CREAM
FOOT CARE(HEEL CRACK )
FOOTROSE CREAM is a topical foot care cream for dry, cracked heels and hard, fissured skin of the feet. It is used to soften and hydrate thickened skin, relieve the discomfort of heel fissures, and prevent the deep painful cracks that develop when dry heel skin is left untreated.
01
Benefits
- Keratolytic and emollient ingredients soften the thickened hard skin that forms the walls of heel fissures.
- Intensive hydration restores flexibility to skin that cracks because it is too dry to flex under weight.
- Regular use prevents the progression from superficial dryness to deep painful fissures.
- Relieves the discomfort of walking on cracked heels.
- Suitable for daily maintenance in patients whose heels crack recurrently, particularly in dry seasons.
02
Side effects
Not everyone gets these. Most are mild and settle as the course finishes.
Common
- Mild stinging on application to cracked skin
- Local redness
- Greasy residue on skin and socks
- Temporary softening that makes skin feel tacky
Less common
- Contact dermatitis with itching and persistent redness
- Excessive peeling with overuse of keratolytic ingredients
- Skin irritation in thin or sensitive skin
- Slipping hazard on hard floors immediately after application
Stop and get medical help if any of these occur
- Spreading redness, warmth, swelling, pus or fever — infected heel fissures need medical treatment
- Deep fissures that bleed persistently or do not heal
- Any foot ulcer, numbness or non-healing wound in a person with diabetes
- Severe burning, blistering or ulceration after application
- Swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or difficulty breathing
03
Precautions
- For external use only, on the feet. Avoid the eyes and mucous membranes.
- Patients with diabetes must have foot problems assessed medically rather than self-treated. A cracked heel in a diabetic foot can become an ulcer, and reduced sensation means damage goes unnoticed.
- Do not apply to open wounds, bleeding fissures or infected skin without advice.
- Do not apply between the toes, where the added moisture encourages fungal infection.
- Apply at night after soaking and gently removing dead skin, and wear cotton socks to improve absorption.
- Take care immediately after application — the cream makes floors and footwear slippery.
- Persistent thickened skin may indicate a fungal infection or a skin condition needing specific treatment rather than an emollient.
