LIGNOROS INJ 30ML

LIGNOCAINE 30ML INJ

LIGNOROS INJ 30ML is a 30 ml multi-dose vial of lignocaine injection, a local anaesthetic. It is used for infiltration anaesthesia, nerve block and surface anaesthesia in minor surgery, dental and obstetric procedures, and for suturing and other minor interventions.

01

Benefits

  • Rapid onset of local anaesthesia, usually within two to five minutes of infiltration.
  • The most widely used local anaesthetic, with a long safety record across surgical, dental and emergency practice.
  • Allows minor procedures to be performed without general anaesthesia or sedation.
  • The multi-dose vial suits clinics, dental surgeries and emergency departments where the drug is used frequently.
  • Also used intravenously in specialist settings for the management of certain ventricular arrhythmias.

03

Precautions

  • For administration by a qualified healthcare professional trained in local anaesthesia, with resuscitation equipment and lipid emulsion available.
  • Always aspirate before injecting. Inadvertent intravascular injection is the commonest cause of systemic toxicity, which can progress to seizures and cardiac arrest.
  • Observe the maximum dose by body weight. Toxicity is dose-related and the margin is narrower in children, the elderly and in cardiac or hepatic impairment.
  • Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to amide local anaesthetics, and in complete heart block.
  • Multi-dose vial: use strict aseptic technique at every withdrawal, record the date of first puncture, and discard after the stated in-use period.
  • Warn the patient not to eat, drink hot liquids or handle hot objects until sensation returns.
  • Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment, heart failure, hypovolaemia and epilepsy.
  • Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding where clinically indicated, with attention to the dose.
