NIMOROSS TAB GREEN

NIMESULIDE 100MG

NIMOROSS TAB GREEN is a tablet of nimesulide 100 mg, an NSAID with preferential COX-2 activity. It is used for the short-term treatment of acute pain and inflammation — musculoskeletal injury, dental pain, dysmenorrhoea and post-operative pain — for a maximum of fifteen days.

01

Benefits

  • Rapid onset of analgesia, often within fifteen to thirty minutes, which is faster than most oral NSAIDs.
  • Preferential COX-2 activity gives anti-inflammatory effect with somewhat less gastric impact than non-selective NSAIDs.
  • Effective in acute musculoskeletal injury, dental pain and dysmenorrhoea.
  • Useful where a rapid effect matters, such as acute dental or post-traumatic pain.
  • Also has antipyretic activity.

  • Contraindicated in children under twelve years.
  • Contraindicated in any hepatic impairment or history of hepatic reaction to nimesulide, and in alcohol or drug dependence.

  • Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Avoid alcohol entirely and avoid concurrent hepatotoxic drugs, including paracetamol at high dose.
  • Use only where other NSAIDs are unsuitable, at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest possible period.
  • Take with or after food, and counsel the patient on the symptoms of liver injury before starting.
