SUPERVIT TAB S/P

MULTIVITAMIN WITH MULTIMINERAL + TRACE ELEMENT AND AMINO ACID TAB

SUPERVIT TAB S/P is a tablet combining multivitamins, multiminerals, trace elements and amino acids. It is used as a comprehensive nutritional supplement where dietary intake is inadequate, during convalescence, in restricted diets, and in periods of increased demand.

01

Benefits

  • Provides a broad base of vitamins, minerals and trace elements in one tablet, covering the common gaps in a restricted diet.
  • Added amino acids support tissue repair and protein synthesis where dietary protein is inadequate.
  • Trace elements such as selenium, copper and manganese are frequently missing from simpler preparations.
  • Useful during convalescence and after surgery, when requirements rise and appetite is poor.
  • Once-daily dosing is simple to sustain.
02

Side effects

Not everyone gets these. Most are mild and settle as the course finishes.

Common
  • Nausea or stomach upset, particularly on an empty stomach
  • Bright yellow discolouration of the urine from riboflavin
  • Constipation or loose stools
  • Metallic or altered taste
Less common
  • Flushing or warmth of the skin from niacin
  • Headache
  • Darkening of the stool from any iron content
  • Skin rash or itching
Stop and get medical help if any of these occur
  • Swelling of the face, lips or tongue, or difficulty breathing
  • Widespread rash or hives
  • Persistent vomiting or severe abdominal pain
  • Numbness or tingling of the hands and feet on prolonged high-dose use
  • Accidental overdose, particularly in a child, where any iron content is dangerous
03

Precautions

  • A dietary supplement, not a medicine, and not a substitute for a balanced diet or for diagnosing the cause of fatigue.
  • Do not exceed the stated dose or take alongside another multivitamin — fat-soluble vitamins A and D accumulate and can reach toxic levels.
  • Keep well out of reach of children. Accidental iron overdose in a small child is a medical emergency.
  • Take after food, and separate from tetracycline or fluoroquinolone antibiotics and thyroid hormone by at least two hours.
  • Use with caution in haemochromatosis, in renal impairment, and in patients on warfarin, where vitamin K content may affect control.
  • Prolonged high-dose pyridoxine can cause peripheral neuropathy.
  • Use in pregnancy only on medical advice — pregnancy requires a purpose-formulated preparation.
